I guess it is safe to say, no.

Eiichi was not satisfied with his last firing of our Commissions. He remains committed to this project despite his ever increasing popularity and demand for his works. Last I heard, the pieces were "made" and ready for firing. And could be finished at any time ...

FYI, each cycle of making a new piece or SO can take 1-2 months for this kiln, so a failure means another 1-2 months. Just the nature of the biz. I learned this in waiting for longgggg periods of time for around 1/4 of the Hagi SOs. Part of the reason for this is these are small runs of very limited and often brand new pieces. So we are in a manner of speaking on the cutting edge, but the process can be slow at times.

Also I have noticed, the creative artisans are often too optimistic. They say the "end of the month" when in reality it is mid next month.

For Eiichi, I hope he continues to work on the cutting edge that has created a bit of a sensation for his works here on TeaChat with pieces like The ROCK and Snowdrifts.
