Great piece ! This was my #2 choice, but I really loved all the ones I selected.

Thanks a lot for the pic ! I hope there will be more to come in this thread.

Ditto! I put it as my second pick as well, but I think all my choices were equally desired.

I baptized #13 last night with a Korean "jade" green, and today I brought it out for some morning sencha. Should I be sticking to one type of tea with this baby? 'Cause I really just like holding it. :D

Nice Preciousssss ...

I stick to one general type of tea per Hagi piece ... but I know others do not.

For the ROCK, it is worthy of dedication to one general type???!!!???

Oh my ! Wonderful pictures Karmaplace. Thanks !

I don't dedicate my Hagi pieces to any precise tea. I like when it matches my teapot, although it is going to be harder with the rock.

Here is Number 1. To pass on what the mail man said to me: "After you brew your tea, turn off the lights, if its glowing don't drink it."

... well it will crackle anyway!

Looks great Adam!

SnowDrift would actually give a "sizzling" sound after a quick soak or dunk in hot water ... I wonder if the ROCK will too.

ROCK is in the house! Currently soaking, getting ready for it's first cup of tea in the morning. Will try to get some photos then.

Was hoping for delivery on Saturday, Friday at the earliest. So was very surprised to find both the ROCK and my shiny new Android tablet delivered the same day! Glad I have the day off tomorrow to get time to know both :)

Rock in da house here too, woohoo! I was actually at home for a change and didn't have to make a trip to post office to retrieve it. No pics yet, but its a great piece, one of my favorites so far. The glaze is very "melty". Great size!

OK, just taking the ROCK out for maiden voyage... and I have to say, its absolutely scorching the devil out of my hand. Did anyone else notice it really grabs the heat?? I may have to switch my plan on what teas to use it for, and go to something I brew much cooler. I can barely hold the cup long enough to sip, my fingers are blistered!
