One likely factor in the slow staining for mine is that I don't use it as often as I anticipated because the thin walls restrict it to green and white teas, so it didn't get the same intensive use of some of my other cups when new.

Here is my Rock. It has stained up quite a bit. I love it!

Wow. Looks great.

I looked more carefully at the interior of mine and it does have a stronger network of still light crackles--just not dark enough yet to really stand out in the shadows.

Thank you. The exterior had some light staining when I got it, but it was much lighter than it is now. I do not pre-soak my tea ware, so that might be why mine always seem to darken quicker.
