As also mentioned in the Oribe topic ...
I received word from Mago today, Hide informed me he has been sick. So he is behind schedule. He is getting to them in order received, so if you did not receive a notification from him (if you paid), then please be patient.
As always, for these Hagi SOs, he requests that if you have a question about the status of your order, please contact me. It is much easier for him to then focus his energies on his task at hand, which is quite a task! Keep in mind, English is not his native language.
He states that all Hagi SO orders he has received will be shipped within the next 5 to 6 days, if not sooner. Many have gone out already. He feels they will all be shipped before the 5-6 days, but states this as a worst case scenario.
THANKS!

Picked up at the Post Office this morning before work... Now at work; can't open yet... can't open yet... can't open yet... I mean, I *could*, but I don't like having to repackage to take it all home... So tempting!

My SOs passed through NY on Feb 7. They should have been at my local post office by now. Hopefully soon. This was also with SAL shipping.

This has been an elusive subject.
Just won't sit still
I think I've captured the texture.
Yet the slight peachy color is not there.
Thanks Eiichi-San and Chip-San

It's here!
Soft buff and rough sand with with a rough/smooth feel that is quite unique in my collection
Some parts look quite soft
A lovely jewel, really
And this one I think, will be nicknamed "Mojave", because it reminds me so much of the mountains of the Mojave desert that I recently visited

Re: NEW OFFICIAL TOPIC Hagi SSO 18 Eiichi Commission "Kohiku"
First outing with the new cup: Sayamakaori sencha from Yuuki-cha today. It has quite a solid feel in the hand, as though it were a much thicker cup than it is. It takes a while for the heat to penetrate the sides, but it does, and my grip is a little uncomfortable at the later infusion when the water is up to 190 degrees. I would not want to try to drink tea brewed at 205 degrees in it--this will be reserved for greens and white teas.
The tactile impression is quite incredible. You can feel very coarse particles right under the surface, breaking up the smoothness of it, but they are not sharp to the touch--they are softened just enough to retain the tactile interest without any concern that a careless movement will leave a mark on the skin. It's hard to describe how interesting and lovely this is to touch and hold.
