Does anyone know what the price range on his teapots are? I've searched through his site, but couldn't find any prices listed--I'm especially interested in his purple clay banko pots, but don't know if they're even possible for a budget like mine or if I should just keep dreaming .... :p

You have to view the availability page. Prices and actual available items are listed there.

Where can I find the availability page? I have not bought anything from Hojo yet but I was under the impression that you had to email them to inquire about availability and price.
I can't find prices for tea or teaware anywhere on Hojo's website.

Thanks, Chip. Yeah, it looks quite pricey. I wasn't gonna buy anything right away. I was just curious
The moment you posted this I just googled "Hojo tea availability" and found that page. I have no idea how to navigate Hojo's website to arrive at that page.

You usually send him a mail and he gives you the link I think. He provides a great personal customer service by exchanging mails. You can ask him for more details this way, more photos, and so on. And yes, he usually sells pricey stuff, but the quality is always there.

Wow, beautiful stuff, but with those prices, definitely going to have to remain wishful thinking as far as I'm concerned ...

Yeah, I never found that page from the site, got it here on TC!
The pieces are stunning and priced to match. I managed to get one of the Shigaraki kyusu in a swap (again here on TC), and it is a great kyusu.

Ha anybody bought red clay SADO ware from Hojo for oolong, if yes, tell me if it is as good for oolong as modern yixing, or if it is better?
I would like to buy one but for almost 200$ I need to hear a friends opinion first.

It depends on what you are using now and which oolong you are talking about. I used a Sado red clay for my gao shan cha but I ultimately switched to an (expensive) yixing teapot (when I am not using a gaiwan.)
But I think it is really a personal preference rather than a statement of quality.
For what it's worth, I really preferred using Sado red clay with my greener oolongs.
