Rooibos headache poll
This has been discussed pretty much, time for a poll.

I normally break out the decaf tea later in the day, so I think my timing has something to do with it. I've only brewed a few cups of it because the taste/smell combo really just makes me feel awful... it's not necessarily a headache, but I think it's more of a case of trying to eat/drink something that you dislike or just aren't in the mood for. I'm working on finding an herbal replacement tea for roobios. I really only drink it if it's late (no white or green teas after four if I want to sleep at night) and I'm desperate.

I drink it once or twice a week, both green and red, and I don't think I've ever gotten a headache from it. But I understand that it does that to some people; I would just avoid it, if that's the case. To me, it's mellow and somewhat sweet tisane to drink if it's night and I don't want any caffeine.

Headaches after drinking rooibos? This is all news to me. I've been drinking both green and red rooibos teas for awhile and have never gotten a headache. Must just affect some people. It's my favorite evening or late-night tea (I'm one of those people who can't drink any sort of caffeinated tea past 6pm or it keeps me up all night)!

They seem to be getting a little better. I ran out of herbal and it wasn't too bad, actually. I didn't steep it as long, though, just so it wasn't as strong as I'd normally brew it.

I drink Rooibos at night before bed and the first 2 times I tried it I had huge headaches the next morning. It's extremely odd for me to wake up with a headache so it's pretty strong evidence to me. The headaches stopped happening after the 3rd time or so. Totally worth it

Ya know, I bought a blend that had red rooibos in it, along with a flavored black, and chai. After drinking it I did get a headache, but never really considered if it was due to the rooibos. I haven't gone back for a second cup yet because I wasn't in love with the taste of the blend. Maybe I will give it another go for the sake of experimentation.
