I got some samples and thought it would be good for afternoon & evening. I just tried some yesterday, adagio rooibos vanilla and adagio rooibos cocomint. But I am not so happy with it. I'm just wondering if I need to drink some more and get used to the taste? (right now I am drinking adagio black vanilla and am enjoying it)

I never had to aquire the taste, I've always really liked Rooibos Vanilla. What is it you don't like with your rooibos teas? I almost never drink red rooibos nowadays, only green (not oxidized) since I like that taste even more. I've heard some people have had troubles with rooibos though.

Try the hazelnut, almond, and orange flavors. Those are my favorite.

For a lot of people its just you like it or you don't. First try the unflavored Rooibos before you say you don't like it. Also note that Rooibos needs to steep or boil for at least 10 minutes. If you don't let it go that long, it doesn't have a chance to really release all its flavor.

I think that's good advice about trying the unflavored Rooibos first. I bought a large package of a top quality fruity, citrusy blend and it's sitting in the back of the closet. I thought it was the Rooibos I didn't enjoy, but it was actually the flavoring

Right at the front are the Harney's Rooibos Chai, Adagio Vanilla and Adagio Caramel. The two Adagios taste really good together.

I didn't get any unflavored rooibos since I am fine with my decaf green tea.

I found that I do like the adagio rooibos cinnamon apple.

I have ever really had a taste for rooibos. I bought a few different types, but I had to give them all away because I couldn't drink them.

I'd recommend honeybush if you're not such a fan of the rooibos. The two plants are very similar, but I prefer the taste and smell of honeybush over rooibos.

I guess depending but to me the smell is not pleasant at all to me. And I haven't had much luck with roobios. Mabe sometime i should try green roobios i have beard it has abit different flavor then the red.

Rooibos has a cardboard-like taste to me. I keep trying it and I keep not liking it. If it is an acquired taste, I have yet to acquire it.

I have some plain rooibos from Davidson's Tea (bulk).
This is my first rooibos so I can't really speak for what it is "suppose" to taste like.

If I toss the rooibos in boiling water and let it steep for 10 minutes, it tastes raisin water taste to it. Not bad but not great.

If I boil the rooibos for 10 minutes, I get a much darker, deeper flavor. Still has a slight raisin taste but more earthy... maybe a bit nutty.

It may be an acquired taste... I gave some to family and they hated it.
I like it well enough to drink it everyday.

I can't seem to make up my mind about Rooibus. I love the Jasmine Rooibus, but the tropical was just plain nasty! I have a few more samples in my closet, but I'm almost afraid to try them! I think from here on in I'll be sticking with the flavored blacks. Never tasted a "bad" one yet! Adagio's strawberry black rocks!

I liked it from the start. Regular ye olde plain original style rooibos. As mentioned previously... seeing whether you actually dislike the rooibos or flavoring would be a good idea.

Don't tell the Teavana-haters I said this, but . . .

You should try some green rooibos from Teavana. It is very different than the red rooibos blends from Adagio. Personally, I can hardly even drink Adagio's red rooibos teas, and they don't sell green.

Also, Teavana also has some teas with green and red rooibos mixed, which are also pretty good.

I would recommend Teavana's Rooibos Tropica, as opposed to Adagio's Rooibos Tropics, as a starter rooibos tea. It is very good, and blends well with almost any tea you would ever want to put it with!

Rooibos taste great with orange, blackberry and raspberry. Even green one is good.
