mayayo: Yixing teapot "Da Hong Pao"

by bagua7 » Nov 5th, '10, 23:27

Selling this one because I don't use it that much. Basically like new, pours well, doesn't leak and it's a handmade one:

Sorry for the quality of some of the pics as my compact old cam doesn't focus properly. I am not hiding anything. I repeat, the pot is in prime condition.

$25 + shipping

Used for TGY oolong just a few times but I have removed any odours by boiling teapot in filtered hot water until smell was completely gone.

Capacity: 130mL

Thanks.

Did it work well for TGY? I am looking for an oolong pot I have one "yixing" but it did not work well for oolong so it is used for pu. If Geekgirl doesnt want it I definately will take it off your hands.

Just out of curiositywhere will you be shipping it from?

Yes it does work best for any Oolongs including TGY but I bought it specifically for this type.

I live in Australia. Weight is 435g.

Here's the shipping calculator:

Hey guys, don't chicken out! This pot has to go.

Shipping is not that expensive: air mail $15.70.

Total: $25 + $15.70 = $40.70 for a handmade pot that pours well and doesn't leak is a real bargain.

basically mayayo's offer is $40.70 to US vs YS $67.26 to US (shipping included for both prices)

Thats a pretty decent price cut
Why does it have to go? Not really my business so just ignore silly question if you don't feel like answering ;p

Why haven't you tried other teas with it?
What roasting level tgy did you try it with. How many brews did you try with this pot? What does clay smell like when you pour boiling water into it? I've been eying those dhp pots for a while...can anyone vouch for them?

Hey nothing wrong with the pot but I am not in love with her for some reason the same way I do with my other "babies." It's an energy kind of thing. The pot is fine. It's just me :)

Thanks for asking anyway.

Same here!

Its time for me to start using teapots instead of gaiwans.
I'd love to use one that's already tested!
