This classic design depicts a koi fish jumping over Dragon Gate and transforming into a dragon. The vintage ones like this are quite collectable now, but because the moving dragon head on the lid of my pot is missing its tiny little clay tongue, this is known as a “mute dragon” pot, and the value isn't as high as if it had the tongue. Either way, the pot is made from killer vintage 70's-80's clay, and brews a mean round of any puerh. A well respected Chinese tea shop here in NYC is selling this exact same pot (same era, size, clay, chop) for $160, but since mine is missing the tongue, I'm bringing the price way down.
