A new journey begins with OTTI 15!

... a quick search reveals that this vendor has apparently only been mentioned one time on TeaChat ... and that was very recently.

Look for more information here, there, and everywhere on TeaChat as I begin the prelim tastings.

... and prelim tastings for OTTI 15 have commenced!!! Sampled the first of 6 Oolong from Taiwan. Very impressive beginning!

Keep an eye open in the 3 day announcement topic for the 3 day announcement :shock:

... just went through the first 6 steeps of sample #2 ... I brewed the two darker oolong selections first.

The first was a very good selection of a type of dark Taiwanese oolong most of us have likely sampled, though the presentation of this one is quite unique!

The second selection sampled is the one that "is worth the price of admission!" Really a remarkable selection, complex, wonderfully aromatic and nice mouth feel.

Unfortuantely, as is my policy, I cannot say more at this point in time, but this is really shaping up to be a great OTTI 15! :mrgreen:

oh man. I can't believe I missed most of the earlier OTTIs. I should have hopped on this bandwagon sooner :mrgreen:

Mostly round 6 and later look interesting to me. I am definitely interested in oolong, gyo, and aged pu OTTIs.

My mantra is always, "focus forward!" :mrgreen:

Hopefully there will be many more OTTI rounds, new teas to explre, more vendors to sample, new harvest to compare to past harvests, etc.

OTTI 15 MountainTea, Range of Gaoshan will go live today (Thursday) at 6 pm Eastern USA time with the new topic available for previewing 3 hours prior (assuming I get it done in time :oops:

).

Please be sure to check it out! New (to us) vendor and new teas!
