OTTI Round 5 is around 24 hours away from going live. Trust me, you will not want to miss this one!!!

I would have to say this round is a monumental OTTI. This will be the first of several Pu-erh OTTI, a more or less natural progression beginning with a tasting of five young Sheng/Raw Pu-erh. These are 2005-2010 harvest Sheng-s.

Future OTTI Pu-erh rounds will include 90's vintage, followed by an even more aged OTTI. I expect that we will also have a Shu/Cooked Pu-erh OTTI or two as well.

I truly believe this will be an incredible OTTI in that the two vendors involved are outstanding, both top notch, better than you could likely do from virtually any other vendors of pu-erh available to the West.

Also, these 2 vendors are members of the forum, though very discrete about their business activities while on the forum. Something the Moderator appreciates greatly! :wink:

So look for the official OTTI Round 5 topic Monday night!

I have sampled 3 of the 5, all from Vendor 1. This has already opened my eyes.

I have actually gotten the cravings that I normally only get for sencha, good stuff! :mrgreen:

So yeah, I be psyched!!!

You noticed I did not mention who the two members are ... I think I will spill!

The two member vendors are Nada of Essence of Tea and TIM from The Mandarins Tearoom!

I do my personal tastings the last weeks and weeks to come. Got two sample packages and a bunch of 30 samples from a different vendor.
Most Oolong and Whites too and some Chinese green. Oh and my first experiances with Pu Erh

So I am eager to have more Pu experiance and learn a lot.
