Spam forum rules

Postby Chip » Jan 23rd, '13, 15:06

This forum is not to be confused with other TeaChat forums such as TeawareArtisans and TeaMerchant. If you have a topic in one of those forums, do NOT post a topic here.

Very simple rules. If you have something of a self promotional nature, tea or otherwise, you may post it here along with relevent links ... and NOT on the general forum where such posting is not permitted!!!

Topics of certain natures will be deleted without warning and is at the full discretion of Moderators of TeaChat. This is common sense, no porn, no over the top language, no politics nor religion, and anything else deemed inappropriate at the time of posting.

One and only one topic per member in this forum. If you want to post another topic, you will need to contact a moderator so your first topic can be removed PRIOR to your posting a new topic.

Topic posting members must be active on TeaChat for at least 90 days, must be a current and active poster on TeaChat (at the moderator's discretion), other than in the Spam forum in order to post a topic.

Break these simple rules once, your topic will be deleted immediately and without notice. Break the rules again and your account will be deactivated and possibly banned.

Post anything pornographic, and you will be banned without warning!!!

New members attempting to post a topic here are subject to the general rules of TeaChat and face possible immediate expulsion from TeaChat.

Addendum (2/27/2013): It goes without saying, members may respond to spam messages ... and purchase AT THEIR OWN RISK!!!

TeaChat, Adagio, and their administrators, etc. are not responsible for deals gone bad that were found under Spam forum of TeaChat.

Buy at your own risk!!! Use only Paypal. TeaChat will not be able to obtain a refund for you.

Report any bad dealings immediately so we can prevent future problems.

Another Addendum 2/27/2013: regarding tastings. A proposal for a Member conducted tasting via this Spam forum (or anywhere on TeaChat) will be required PRIOR to posting in the Spam topic or elsewhere on TeaChat. This will prevent any misunderstanding and also prevent me from having to remove such a topic.

I will go on record (as I have in the past) that I am all for tastings, the more the merrier. However, anyone wanting to conduct a tasting via this Spam forum MUST contact me in advance ... prior to posting. This is common sense, but it now also the rule!

This is not a "fear of competition" thing in regards to OTTI or NOTTI, but if there is a fairly directly competing OTTI or NOTTI already scheduled, it would not be fair to anyone to have them both run concurrently (or some facsimile thereof). There is obviously a lot of preparation and work that goes into a tasting ... and an OTTI or NOTTI cannot simply be "turned off" for the time being. There are also vendors who may have "invested in it as well."

So, for the long term well being of OTTI and NOTTI programs, they will take precedence over a competing member's proposed tasting for this Spam forum. This is not to say that perhaps the member's tasting could not be conducted at a mutually agreed upon future date.

so this is just a forum for self-promotion? for instance, if I start a bee-keeping business and want to advertise my honey, I can post here?

You can post it in your blog topic ... and under Spam forum. However you may only have one topic here ... if you ever wnat to do another topic later, you will need to contact me in advance and request deletion of this topic. Or you can simply continue to post in your original Spam topic.

Thank you for asking ...
