Me, too! It's comforting after a long day to come home and have some tea. It never fails to lift my spirits.

I voted 'other' as in 'all of the above.' This morning I went with my usual Adagio Irish Breakfast.

I'm looking forward to lots of tea tomorrow to help my mood during preparation for and dinner with the in-laws.

I'm really loving these deep philosophical questions. For me, I drink because of my mood. If I'm rushing about and being panicked about work, I'm less likely to drink tea because I wouldn't be able to enjoy the quiet nuances of the tea ceremony. I only drink tea when I'm feeling a bit settled. Luckily, as the semester is winding down, I'm beginning to settle more so I'm drinking more tea as a result. I would never be able to enjoy any kind of tea if I was in a rush to do something or if I was working on a tight schedule...

Well ok!! But I'm having some issues with it! Like it came to me with water or tea stains all over it, it has obviously been used. But it cleaned up ok. And I got the last one, and the price was a steal, so I guess I'll just send a letter of complaint, but I'd rather not return it.

Shown here with my Korean saucer and my Japanese cup holding Taiwan oolong, for the record! :)

Ha! At least it doesn't leak like the old TRoT one.

Well, I definitely choose teas based on my mood, and often the weather as well. I chose "mood for tea" figuring I had a 50/50 shot of choosing the answer that meant what I intended. Vanilla Chamomile black tea in my cup, warming up a rare rainy day here in SoCal.

That's a good-looking ad hoc setup. Very nice tray, congratulations.

I definitely have to be in the mood for tea, and by mood, I mean physically and mentally willing to drink tea. I won't drink tea if I don't feel like, and I won't drink it if the mood doesn't call for it. I find that drinking tea often helps me relax in the evening, but if I'm at work and it's really stressful, then no amount of tea will be able to slow me down.

In my cup right now is some Lapsang Souchong. I haven't had this stuff in a while, and now my office smells like a campfire. :D
I believe drinking tea makes me a better artist. But hey, I also believe I'm completely sane.

I have that tea tray. Strange that it came stained but they do clean up pretty easily. I just wipe it with a damp cloth and towel dry. I voted that drink for mood. I tend to get cravings for one type of tea or another so it really just depends on what mood I am in that day.

I don't have to be in a special mood to want tea... I always want tea. It's totally a part of my day-to-day routine, regardless of my mood. I don't drink tea with the goal of changing my mood, although tea usually makes me happy, but I'm usually happy anyway.

Too deep for me. It's all good.

Oolong #8 is a warm toasty cup of deliciousness. I'm loving every drop tonight.

After almost 24 hours, I finally understand the topic.

Generally, I am always in the mood for tea, but occasionally I do drink tea to brighten my mood. Yeah, that took 24 hours of deep meditation in the TeaCave.

Not a lot of tea today, Yame Gyokuro from O-Cha to start the day and a rare pot of Jasmine. About to have some mugi/gemai cha.
blah blah blah SENCHA blah blah blah!!!

I drink different teas depending on my mood, but I also have to be a specific mood in order to enjoy certain teas so I guess it works both ways.

After driving home through lake-effect snow, I found some new toys waiting for me. In their cleaning, my parents found some tea wares that were my great-great aunt's as well as some stuff that was my father's. I ended up with four yunomi done in a peacock pattern, three 100ml rice porcelain cups, two rice porcelain bowls with matching spoons, a kyusu-like pot, and a small 150ml pot without a handle. I am still in a bit of a shock that we had a rice porcelain set hiding out in the basement. Maybe there will be other treasures down there next time we go through stuff. I posted pictures of everything in the show off your tea ware thread.

Today I had Earl Grey White Tip for breakfast and Earl Grey Bravo after dinner. There hasn't been too much time for tea today with the traveling, so hopefully tomorrow will be better in that respect.
