Where to buy rooibos in 1 lb bags?

by aprildain » Apr 12th, '06, 14:12

Hi,

I'm new here, just found this board, but I am glad I did. I love rooibos, but I like to purchase it in one pound bags. The place I have been buying it is getting more expensive and I was wondering if anyone knew of a more reasonably priced website to buy it at?

I've been looking at some places, but one place wanted $13.00 to ship a 1 pound bag priority mail!

Thanks.

Well, you found boards that are run by Adagio. There is a link in the upper right corner to take you there. They sell plain rooibos for $15 for a 1 pound bag + 3.75 shipping.

It is about time that I ordered some rooibos to try...I really enjoy Numi's Green Rooibos, but I haven't tried any regular roobios. I really wish that adagio would start selling a green rooibos.

Green rooibos is something I've been getting some requests for, so I'll suggest it. In return, would a lot of you mind requesting barley tea (mugicha)? I'm a fan of it, and I seem to be the only one who wants it. If more people request it, maybe I could convince them to add it to our line!

April--we do normally sell one pound of rooibos, but we're actually out of the one-pound bags which is why that size is unavailable. We should be getting some more bags very soon and as soon as we do we will have the one pound rooibos available. Be sure to try the rooibos mango while you're at it--that's my favorite tea!

Ilya has said before that the reason that adagio does not carry green rooibos is because there is not as much taste as rooibos has. I think though, that green rooibos has a very sweet taste, similar to many green teas, so i don't see why that would be a problem. Also, it is healthier for you!

I would suggest barley tea, but I have never tried it so I'll have to taste some first.

I just got into rooibos, and I want to try green rooibos. I think I might like it more.

Richard, I'll suggest barley tea. I got some from the Asian grocery store, and made it as an iced tea. It turned out pretty good, and it has no caffeine, so there would be no worry about dehydrating faster in summer. I'm probably going to drink it instead of water when skateboarding this summer.

I wish I could go skateboarding. I'm too clumsy though. I do like the "falling" videos you see sometimes. My sports are so tennis, golf, and bowling.

Seriously.

If you like the bail videos, you should watch 411 "911." I'm too scared to watch it because I don't want to know just how bad I can get hurt on a skateboard.

Fun sports. Last time I played tennis, I broke the racket, and started shouting out every obscenity I know, while trying to destroy the racket even more. Weirdly, one family left the park after...

I saw 411 "911"... it wasn't that bad, at first it had me kinda freaked out, but it's not to bad once you watch it again... one guy fell on the family jewels and then fell like 13' to the ground, lol.

You know what I miss? The video for Scrape by Unsane.

I think I should get that CD.
