I picked up a Xiaguan bing that came in a large box. Is there any reason to keep the box?
I should ask a similar question about some of the tuos that I've gotten from XG.
Likewise, I also got a couple mushroom tuos that are unwrapped. Any suggestions on neutral material to wrap naked pu like this stuff? It's all going into my pumidor, so technically I suppose I don't have to wrap it. Maybe I just need to get some bowls...

Most of the cakes that I've seen in their own boxes are sold for the purpose of a tribute or some special reason, or often for the purpose of a gift. I know certain places online you can ever purchase them along with bings as a sort of giftwrapping.sp1key wrote:bing coming in a large box? thats new...
I think if you got a big box like that I would stash it back in there, but as mentioned the basic brown lunch bags work great

"boxes for purpose of a tribute or some special reason"
be aware what these boxes are made of, some are made of wood or poor quality paper/boxes and would give away a bad odour over time.
I've experienced this with a box used to store bird nest, I kept it as it is and the bird nest is now having a musky paper wood smell (not nice at all)

If you are going to put it in the pumidor, then you would probably want to take the xiaguan out of the box is it is anything like the 2005 Xiaguan Ancient Wild Tree box. It is a cool box though so you might want to save it. For the other pu, I would recommend the original wrappers or an acid-free paper bag.Drax wrote:I picked up a Xiaguan bing that came in a large box. Is there any reason to keep the box?
