Hello everyone!
I need some help on brewing info for 2006 Guoyan Nannuo Pu-erh Tea Cake.
This has been my second session useing it and I just can't get it right. I read around before buying and heard some good reviews so I suspect either Im doing something wrong or maybe I just don't like sheng which would be funny because I really love my shu from puerhshop. Its the 2006 Changtai Banna Tuocha.
The first session I think I used too much leaf probably 6-8g maybe even more in my 100ml gaiwan. I started with 20 sec. infusion which was really bitter obviously and then 10 sec and 5 sec and it was still bitter and not good.
Second time tonight I weighed out 3g in 100ml gaiwan. I didn't heat my gaiwan before the first infusion so I did 15 sec first and then 10s after and it still was bitter and not good. I infused it 4 times tonight.
Did I mess up somewhere? How do you guys/gals make this tea?

Is this the Nannuo Youle mixed cake? 50/50 from each mountain? Personally I think it's more Youle than Nannuo, but that might just be me. I own this cake and have had no problems brewing it.
Usually what I'll do with pu'er is 6g in my 120ml gaiwan, flash rinse, then 7s, 15s, 12s, 30s, 45s, 1:15, 2m, etc.
Thanks everyone for your replies! I love the pu erh community on here always so nice.
Marshaln I tryed pouring in/out and it really helped a lot. Its much better this way even though not my favorite I am enjoying it. Maybe its an acquired taste. I will have plenty of time to acquire one over the next 350 grams of it
"thanks" I think this is a different pu than yours.
Heres a link to it http://www.puerhshop.com/index.php?main ... b3bde84584
I wanted to mention that this is in no way a review of this tea because Im way to new to pu erh to be recommending or not recommending anything. Everyone else I talked to said this was a great tea.
