I thought mistletoe was toxic?!?

edit: hmm I guess not... I seem to remember seeing a warning on the packaging on real mistletoe when we bought it around christmas... maybe something they added to it to keep it looking fresh for a month.......
Mistletoe leaves and young twigs are used by herbalists, and it is popular in Europe, especially in Germany, for treating circulatory and respiratory system problems, and cancer.[13] [14] [15] Mistletoe is being studied as a potential treatment for tumors. Although such use is not yet permitted in the U.S., mistletoe is prescribed in Europe. [3] [4] It is also an ingredient in the herbal beverages Fernet Branca and Jägermeister[citation needed].
