Love love love the Pagasari pieces. I sent the artist an invitation to join the artisans section here, and I got back a short thank you for interest in his work but no indication that he planned to join us here. :(

Thanks! Heart shaped items have always been big in our family with Hartley as a sir name. It was great that it happened to have tea in it and not coffee!

My pagasari bowl - (I'm cheating because it's not here yet)

Seeker, I fully submerged the pieces. It was interesting to see trapped air escaping. :) The chawan I cracked was made by artist Ron Mello. I purchased another that was the same glazes and similar dimension, and it is beautiful, but not the same. :(

Dear Victoria,
Your en route Pagasari looks gorgeous!
The photo of mine is also a cheat - copied from Etsy.
My photo skills leave something to be desired.
But, nevertheless, I may attempt a photo and posting.
By the way - I had to soak my Pagasari overnight for 2 days or so to
get rid of the clay smell (Thank you GeekGirl!!).
The odor still lingers, but only very slightly.
With use I'm confident it will disappear.
I love my Pagasari Chawan - reminds me of something I might have brought
back from the world of fairie.

You people are KILLING ME. I have been lusting after Pagasari for months, having successfully resisted so far, because the prices are a bit out of my comfort zone. But geeze, they are so gorgeous.

Same here. I've been checking them out for about a year now.

Thanks, I'll be sure to soak it right away. Is your squarish? Kinda looks that way.
Very cool!

I've been watching Pagasari for a chawan, but have stopped.
Have you seen the prices? I think they went up 30 %. like in the last week. :?
“Take some more tea,” the March Hare said to Alice, very earnestly.
“I’ve had nothing yet,” Alice replied in an offended tone: “so I ca’n’t take more.”
“You mean you ca’n’t take less,” said the Hatter: “it’s very easy to take more than nothing.”

Matcha tastes great in Cory's bowl

I haven't looked at Pagasari's prices lately, I paid just under a hundred for mine.
How do you get one of Cory's Chawan? I'm totally lusting for
one of those!
Victoria - my Pagasari is not square.
I'll attempt to upload a pic of my new Pagasari with Matcha in it so you can see the roundness.
I had to soak it for 48 hours to get the Clay Dust smell out.
Still lingers a teeny bit, but I trust with several infusions, it will be gone (that's what he says).

Clearly my photographic skills leave much to be desired - my apologies.
I'll try to get a better one.
Best to you all.

Love this chawan!

If you are interested in one of Cory's chawan, or any other of our TeawareArtisans, you should visit their topic in the subforum under TeaCommunity, PM or go to their site.

Thanks for the chawan info Chip - and also for the shout out for
the Pagasari Chawan!
I did ask Cory on his artisan topic, and also checked his sites - non of which yielded any response or way forward (only one item, I think, certainly only one chawan, had a price on one of his sites, and it wasn't one I was interested in).
I was wondering if there was another way that someone might know of and could share.
Again, thanks.
Love this site!!!
and this topic!
