Paionia Tea House - Athens, Greece

On a recent visit to Athens, Greece I was very pleased to discover Paionia (Peony) Tea House in the Thesseion area of Athens - one block from Apostolou Pavlou street (that rings the Acropolis), at Poulopoulou & Amphikteionos Streets.
Paionia sells teas of all kinds, including Chinese and Japanese and blends of all kinds - plus specializes in both Chinese and Western herbal medicine. The owner can brew up a tonic for you and there are herbs to buy as well as teas. Classes are held here too. It's a lovely restful spot in Athens (and I bought some alishan which I really enjoyed). I highly recommend it and its very gracious owner to anyone visiting or living in Athens. Thesseion is a great and very popular area to walk - new cafes are everywhere. Enjoy seeing the Acropolis and then walking around this dynamic neighborhood.
