For those interested in Darjeelings, I just got an email from Tea Emporium reporting that the 2nd Flush Darjeelings have arrived... including Castleton Moonlight!

My order is in... will report back later after I've tried it (and the Rohini green too).

2009 2nd Flush Darjeelings
***This organic blend is earthy & spicy, with a fragrant aroma & smooth flavor to captivate the senses. Naturally sweetened in the Kentucky sunshine & infused with natural energy. Equally delicious when served piping hot or crisply chilled.***
I just received mine from TeaEmporium some 3 hours ago by UPS courier. 850 grams of Castleton 'Moonlight' & 400 grams of Thurbo Classic Musk, LOL
Will post further with pics & all, say, after 4 hours - when I have more time.
I just had a pot of 'Moonlight' & I can state IT IS DIVINE LIQUID GOLD.
UPS was extremely fast, just 2 days from Darj to Southern Finland.
Oops, I'm sooooo broke, I just spent USD 265.00 (i.e. € 191.71) on tea

I had quite a busy day & I just had a second pot of Castleton 'Moonlight' 2nd Flush 2009 from TeaEmporium.
I shall comment on this DJ tomorrow with more time, along with the Thurbo Classic Musk 2nd Flush 2009 (which I haven't tried yet).
However, I'm enclosing photos of the entire lot of teas in their neat packages.
The other pics are 'Moonlight' dry leaves, infused leaves, 'Moonlight' in a cup.
I will shoot the Thurbo as well with more time.

Rajiv from TeaEmporium emailed me a while ago on Castleton 'Moonlight' from last year:
"Dear Sir,
I think I finished off this tea by July 2nd week last year..."
I.e. I reckon' quantities on 'Moonlight' are scarse
However, I'm to order more 'Moonlight' July the 1st with my new tea money for July, lol
I guess the availability of Thurbo will be O.K. far ahead longer, since it isn't such a limited lot, such as 'Moonlight' happens to be.
Lucky me, I still have some 900 grams of Risheehat Classic Musk 2nd Flush 2008 & 350 grams of Castleton Muscatel 2nd Flush 2008 left (both from TeaEmporium).
I shall, though, try and purchase some Castleton Muscatel from e.g. Thunderbolt - as soon as they get their hands on it. Which will most probably lead and throw me into bankruptcy, COL (crying out loud)

I just opened a package of Thurbo Classic Musk today. Just brewed a pot of it. However, I'm to describe both teas later, because I need to evaluate the complex nature of both products with time - that is I need to have a few pots more within the following days, but will keep you guys posted as for what's cookin'
For your enjoyment (or is it envy ) I'm attaching a few pics of the 2009 Thurbo:
Thurbo Classic Musk 2nd Flush 2009 - dry leaves
Thurbo - 4 minutes infusion
A neat parcel

Re: 2009 2nd Flush Darjeelings
I placed an order with Tea Emporium just as the bandh began. So, of course, I didn't expect to get the teas for quite some time (and was fine with that; obviously the situation is out of anyone's control!). I came home today to a Fed Ex envelope with my order in it!
I haven't even had time to try any of the tea yet (though it smells incredible) but wanted to highly recommend Tea Emporium based on their service alone. Sending a small order via Fed Ex from India to the U.S.-- particularly in a politically volatile period-- is going way, way above and beyond.
(Really, that's such good service that I'm kind of embarrassed.)
Highly recommended!
