Adagio Coasters
It would be great if Adagio would have Adagio coasters.

I could use a good coaster...the ones I have right now get stuck on the bottom of my tea mugs, and when I go for a drink they come right along with the mug.

Ooh, TeaFanatic, I hate when that happens!
What kind of coasters would we like to see from adagio? Cork? Tile? Some other material? Maybe if we get really specific they'll go for it

Tile is pretty but it doesn't absorb the moisture. I'm not sure what the material is, maybe sandstone? Those do absorb the moisture.

I have a tile coaster with a cork back so when I need to use it I just flip it over and set the cup on the cork

I have a knitted set of coasters which are the world's best coasters for tea! They are absorbant. I'm not one for "knitted goods" but this time it seves a functional purpose (and the colors match my living room too!)
I keep telling my mom she should sell them....

My grandparents have cloth coasters that we put hot mugs on. They work fairly well as far as not sticking to the cup and beautifully as far as protecting the furniture (especially when we use two at the same time). I have a yarn crochet Granny square that I now use as a coaster for my teapot, and it works fairly nicely. So I think maybe if one can crochet or sew, one can make their own. Oh, and I think for Adagio coasters, maybe cork or cloth?

I have found that both cork and sandstone work well. The bottom needs to be something that does not scratch wood (such as cork or felt), and the actual coaster material needs to be something that liquid cannot soak right through.
