New Adagio Teas feature

by ilya » Aug 23rd, '06, 02:27

We are in the process of launching a new feature at Adagio called 'friends list'. Now you can see what your friends are drinking as well as read their reviews of various teas. Please take a look at the beta page, as we'd love to get as much feedback as possible before we launch.

Nice, but 2 things. One, I would like to be able to "hide" a friend. Two, one of my conversion friends isn't showing.

Very nice! I'd love to be able to add a friend by his/her TeaChat nick.

Pretty cool! I agree with Klemptor that it would be nice to add friends by their teachat names. Also, is there a way of making the frame wider? I dunno, maybe it's just me, but I have this thing about scrolling sideways... Other than that it's really spiff!

adding/removing friends

by ilya » Aug 23rd, '06, 10:49

You can add/remove friends via the 'manage account' page within the account section.

I will try to add the ability to add people by their Teachat nick later today. Good idea!

You should try and link the logo there to a user's logo in teachat. When you see a review at the bottom of the page, sometimes the review will flow off the page and you cannot read it all, you can look at my page on there to see a review in my first friend column that does that. Maybe float the div with the bottom where the mouse is if its in the lower half of the page? Also there is still a problem in Fx 1.5.0.6 where the height of the page is a tad too large, when there isn't even enough data to fill the page.

I think it's cool that my "friends" list shows up on my Welcome page. Thank you, Ilya, for always working to make Adagio's site a good place to visit.

Looking good so far. Here is another idea, why not offer some sort of a discount for ordering through this page? Kinda like the duplicate order discount offer.

Oh great now all my friends will know of my massive Adagio tea addiction and how I've been spending too much money on this site.

J/K Ilya, that's a really cool new feature, and as usual, a very unique and creative one. Adagio never ceases to amaze.

I changed my name as it appears on the page. I took out my last initial, and now it says has a space and then a period.

I love how the reviews show up.

Would it be possible to put your friends in a different order?
