Residue At The Bottom of My Teacup

by longtea » Sep 22nd, '06, 18:39

Everytime I brew a cup of green tea using my Teavana IngenuiTEA lookalike I see a very fine residue at the bottom of my teacup. It is a very small amount, like a tiny bit of very fine sand at the bottom of my cup. Usually a black or brown color. I am assuming this is some kind of residue from the tea leaf that makes it through the strainer.

Can anyone confirm this?

What is it?

Is it bad to drink it?

It's from the leaves, and is nothing bad. It actually can add a bit more flavor to the tea if you shake it up.
