Wish you would offer a boxed sampler set of the chai varieties. I would love to try them all and it would actually make a great gift.

***This organic blend is earthy & spicy, with a fragrant aroma & smooth flavor to captivate the senses. Naturally sweetened in the Kentucky sunshine & infused with natural energy. Equally delicious when served piping hot or crisply chilled.***

Chai Latte

by Samovar » Apr 20th, '09, 13:16

I'm interested in the chocolate and apple chai's.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make a latte with these? Any idea what measurements I should use?

Well here is how I make my chai;

Bring to a boil 2 cups of milk and 1 cup of water, or whatever ratio you prefer. You can make a bouquet garni with the spices, or I usually just mix them right in there. I let it simmer with a lid on it for 10-15 minutes, and strain it out when its done. I sweeten it with brown sugar and vanilla extract.

Hope it helps!

I ordered the chocolate and apple chai. The apple chai was delicious. The chocolate one was really good too but I'm not sure about it yet. It is growing on me though.

The way I make my Chai latte is: Brew tea the normal way. I put some milk in a cup that can be microwaved, but double the amount of milk I would use in a cup of tea. Microwave for about 45 seconds then froth it up using a hand held blender stick or a metal wire frother(they use them for mixed drinks I think) and then add my brewed tea (with or without sugar) to the milk mixture. Yummy!
