Rose Tea
Please make my day/week/year/existence and bring out the rose tea. The stuff where you get a box full of blooms is ideal, but any rose tea that isn't mixed with other stuff (e.g. not green w/ rose) would be a great start

Re: Rose Tea
You want rose tea without rose? Or you are looking for those blooming teas? Or you just want rosebuds?

Re: Rose Tea
I read it as just rose buds... I've seen it before, but I do not remember from where. And of course there are a few of those stunning pictures that people take of just a gaiwan full of rose buds.

Gordon, Ebay/Dragon House Tea, sells a pure rosebud tea:

He also sells the traditional rose petal flavored qimen (aka 'China Rose') tea, in a regular and premium version, listed under black teas (rose-black teas).
Cheers!

Re: Rose Tea
Once in a while I'll order from tea table but that's only for China Rose Petal Tea or Cafe Latte Tea. I wish Adagio could have similar teas so I can stick with them and not go some where else for these teas.

Re: Rose Tea
Pure rose teas tend to be too perfume-y for me, but I love blended rose teas like Rose Congou. Something like that would be neat to see on Adagio.

Re: Rose Tea
I have never tried straight rose, but I am a big fan of roses in teas and teasanes. Rose and white tea - with or without peppermint, rose chamomile, etc...
I would love to see rose added to the selections.
I was thinking of trying to blend my own night time tisane with chamomile, spearmint, lemon balm, rose buds and jasmine.

Re: Rose Tea
I have about 100g of Rose Bud Tea that I picked up from Beijing sitting around for the last 5 years. I've never really taken to it.
I agree this is more of a 'smell tea' rather than 'taste', but it does look fantastic in the gaiwan.
Just keep those infusions short as overbrewing this makes for a horrific taste. uck!

I know this is old, but I'd also like to see Adagio carry a rose congou.

Re: Rose Tea
There are indeed a number of Chinese Rose teas.
I have yet to find them all myself. A blue and white rose. Or do you mean the pink? Some are best added to other teas and while others are meant to be drank alone.
Its kind of hard to find around my china town area also.

Could i make a recomandation,
a great idea i found in France was green tea which was dried in contact with rosebuds like you could do with jasmine tea. The result is FABULOUS.
