Chen's father online store closed down?
Anybody knows what happened to zishateapot.co.uk? My last emails sent to Chen weren't answered and finally, for the last several days, the site itself is down.

Well, I don't know if this could be of any help... anyway on 11.09 I received an email from Chen regarding my order. I's told they'd spent some time in beijing for a yixing teapot exhibition.
A couple of days later, my order arrived with no problem at all.

Thanks. The last reply I got was also around the same date, after 60 years celebrations and the exhibition. It would be a pity if the store will not reopen.

Maybe they are in the process of moving the site from dot co dot uk location to a dot com location

Their laconic note from the news page:
"This store is for demo purpose only. No order will be proceed."
just too much taut for my taste...

I believe Baku's reply shows that they are not moving site. Perhaps due to their pre-occupation with the exhibition in Beijing they just forgot to pay their website hoster the annual/monthly fee, otherwise it looks more ominous.

Does anyone else have communication problems with them? I have been asking them what size and clay a teapot is for about 5 months now using both of there sites and never got any response. Probably at least 5-6 inquiries over that time.
Heres a link to it if anyone knows,

Has anyone ordered the yixing clay storage jars from there? How big are they?

Same here (email communication problems). The best method for me was online chat, available from the Website. My last 3 emails were not answered and my request to post more photos of a certain teapot were ignored. I do own a similar xi shi from Chen as in your link (a slightly different shape) which is ~120ml. I am not going to purchase anything from this store is in it's current state. I don't want to find myself in a situation where I would need vendor support (e.g. teapot arrived broken) when there is nobody on the other side .

FYI, I just received an email from Chen this morning. She apologized for the delay in responding, explaining that they were away in Yunnan.

Re: Chen's father online store closed down?
A month ago, a lot people confused why our website: zishateapot.co.uk closed and there is nobody to answer the questions and e-mails anymore. Some even wondered if we want to close this online teapot store.
Actually, my father's teapots are more and more popular in China and loved by a lot of people. From Autumn, My father and I have been busy attending the various types of large scale exhibitions. And my father was busy making teapots for the domestic market. So we really have no time to take care of the online store. And had to close the website for somewhile.
These days, I discussed with my father and i really hope to explore overseas market, let more people use our Yixing teapots. So we re-opened our website. Welcome to visit. And i will handle your questions again. The earlier e-mails are all replied. If you have any questions and problems, please contact me.
In addition, we only have just one website, that is zishateapot.co.uk. If you find some other websites sold my father's teapot, that are all copies.
From now on,I will be committed to this website, and hope that more people like my father's Teapot.

This is probably a problem on my end, but for some reason all I get is a brown box. The general outline of the site is there, with the header, and all the links, but the middle is just a brown box. Anyone else have this problem?

I did try messing with various zooms on the page.... I don't exactly know how to explain it but the main components do not show up unless you are at a specific zoom point.
So zoom in and out on the page and hopefully something will appear.
