No, you have been bit by the Hagi bug, no "almost" about it.
If the last year +/- in relation to the last 10 is recent, then yes. 15 months ago, I could see no "need" for Hagi-wear, did not care for it at all.
Then I saw a Seigan Blue Chawan and was instantly/dramatically transformed into a Hagi-phile. Cracks me up when I hear a snicker from someone about Hagi, like ...

... it is amazing how perspectives change and how dramaticly tastes can change when the fuse is finally lit, when exposed to the right piece. I may have said something like this 15 months ago, though I would not have publicly insulted the tastes of those who liked Hagi, nor the Hagi artisans who I am certain take their craft quite seriously.
Now there is a 15ish pound package enroute from Hagi, Japan to the TeaCave.
Just never say never.
FYI, SO #9 will be posted tonight or tomorrow! These Hagi are HOT! "Pinch" me to see if I am dreaming ...

Began the TD with Hatsumi from O-Cha in Deishi Biwa Hagi Wan with DW followed by Matcha in yet another Biwa, this time a Seigan Chawan.
Currently home roasted Genmai/Mugi in a Chicago Potter yunomi.
Yet another dramatic change. In the last 6 months or so, our domestic Teaware Artisans have opened my eyes to yet another dimension in teaware.

I don't think so.
I don't often deviate from my gaiwan.
Sometimes I brew up a large pot, British-style, not too often though.
