Sustainability
Hi everyone,
I thought I'd start a topic on sustainability in the tea industry. Here are some things that come to mind when I think of tea + sustainability:
-water usage (agricultural). Not sure which establishments have addressed the water issue. It would be good if the tea industry is ahead of the game and not playing catch up.
-tea bags (biodegradable). I know some companies do a better job than others in this area.
-disposing of tea bags and loose tea-encouraging composting
-suppliers and companies and their sustainability practices in general (using renewable energy, recycling, sustainable packaging, etc.)
Comments welcome. Also, does anyone know if there is a group or organization that is addressing these issues?
Thanks!
Seann
