Casablanca twist... habitually out of stock.

Casablanca twist... habitually out of stock.

by Artemis » Nov 2nd, '09, 09:38

First it was end of August...
then end of September...
then end of October...

It's November! Is this tea ever coming back?

I went through the same thing last year, dying to try it and waiting seemingly forever for it to come back in stock. Hang in there!

I think a number of us just ended up blending our own take on Moroccan Mint

I just checked Adagio's website and it's only out of stock on the 6 oz. tins. Maybe you could order a different size?

No! Does that mean they just ran out again? Because I just checked the site and they are out of all sizes now :(

Might be a regional issue... I had to have a West Coast friend order something that was out of stock on the East Coast, and have it shipped to me. That might answer why something is showing out of stock for one person but not for another?

As for the Casablanca Twist... order a 4 oz. tin of Darjeeling 1 or 2, or Spring Darjeeling, or Nepal 1st flush... and a sample size each of peppermint and spearmint... and blend away. It will be fabulous. :) I love mint with Darjeeling far more than with the traditional gunpowder green found in Morrocan Mint... and that's what Casablanca Twist is... darjeeling and mint. Just play around and find your preferred parameters.

Good luck,

Sarah

While the subject of Casablanca Twist is up can someone tell me why it's listed with the green teas?

Isn't darjeeling considered black?

Good questions. Good question indeed...

Maybe they place it in the green section so people aren't thrown off trying to find it since it's traditionally made with green?

That would make sense except for one thing. On the tin I got in it has the brewing instructions for a green "180* for 3 minutes".

By the way, I see why it's so popular. The stuff is mmm, mmm good!

(PS: I am also showing all sizes in stock except for 6oz)

Awwww man, I feel bad now, I have a tin of it that I haven't even looked at for like a few months. Maybe I'll pick it up again and give it a try!
