Welcome to the TeaVendor Guide Forum!

by Chip » Jan 14th, '10, 17:54

Welcome to the NEW TeaVendor Guide. This will be interesting til we work out some bugs, it is definitely a work in progress! So, please be patient with program changes as we look for the best way to conduct a rather complex set of vendor guides to all types of teas.

There are guidelines to follow, so please become familiar with them so I am not over modding, THANKS. But there needs to be some kind of fair guidelines.

Thanks for the encouragement, always a plus!

Yes, the format will be the same basically. There will be one set of guidelines similar to those. I will also move those topics over to here.

OK, only have to do Oolong and Pu-erh. The others are up and running, so post away!

The TeaVendor Guides are nearing completion of Phase 1 and will be fully operational, just Oolong and Pu-erh guides to go, and they should be completed Tuesday evening, I hope! :D

Please visit, contribute to, and derive from this new forum of TeaChat. Let's make this the go to vendor guides ... and your contributions will make it the best on the www!!!

These will be quite different from the vast majority of vendor guides in that it is not simply a list. It is intended to be quite interactive and with a forum approach. The individual vendor topics will be perennial which will be unique.

Well, it is still a work in progress, so, let's see how it goes. But please do get involved in a manner that you are comfortable. Also please read the guidelines located at the top of the TeaVendor forum.

I think it would be a good idea to introduce a taiwanese oolong vendor guide.

Just a little suggestion for the teavendor guide...I think it would be useful if all of the threads from one vendor were merged in the case of vendors that are recomended for more than one type of tea. It´s a bit confusing for me looking for information on them when it´s scattered among sometimes 3 or 4 teavendor guide threads. :?

Guess what, this is how it is set up. Sorry that was not clarified.

But if a vendor has been nominated for multiple types such as green and oolong, they will still only have one TeaVendor topic, but it will cover discussion on both of these types of teas.

*facepalms* sorry! I was looking at Jing Tea Shop...now that you´ve mentioned it I notice all the other vendors only have one thread...Jing Tea Shop is the only one with two.

Really, I will have to check that out.

There are two different Jings ... one in China, and one in UK.
