Also, I'm up for wine tastings too - I got spoiled when I was in France with being able to get good wine everywhere. Even the house wines in little tiny restaurants were good (not fantastic, but well worth the money). And the tea shops - that was one of my first exposures to actually buying looseleaf teas! I'd had looseleaf before, but never actually purchased it in "bulk" (i.e. more than a cup at a time).
I miss France.....

Next time u r there- visit Mariage Freres in the Marais - great tea, unbelievable selection..very few heavily flavored fruity stuff. I miss France, too. Wine, too.

Siouxie, I'll keep that in mind. Don't know when I'll be able to get back though. Probably not until 2011, and only if I can get help paying for the trip. Fortunately, I can probably stay with the family I lived with for 3 months, so that should help.
