New York Coffee and Tea Festival
Anyone else planning to attend the New York Coffee and Tea Festival? It is February 20th and 21st this year. I was thinking that it would be neat to have a TeaChat meet-up if a bunch of us are in the area.

Never mind; I Googled it:

I live just a little north, 20 minutes by car, 1 1/2 hours by Metro North+bus. Car is easier.

I went last year. It's definately worth going. Don't expect any deals or steals but it's a neat little show. Seems like it might be bigger this year too. It was worth it just for the korean tea ceremony demo. The whole place was noisy as all get out beforehand but completely fell silent to watch her work her magic.

I'm in! Sounds like a lot of fun.
I live in nothwestern NJ so it is just about an hour to get there. Seems like a good way to spend a weekend and get more acquainted with tea.
Hope to see some fellowTCers there!

Is there stuff for sale or maybe samples? Might be a good way to taste new teas.

Sneakers, there is a little of both. Every attendee gets a goodie bag with samples plus a lot of the vendors have samples and things for sale. My favorite finds last year were In Pursuit of Tea's Tropical Green Tea and Tavalon's Gummy Bears

I'm going to try to go, but weekends are a bit tough for me. Can't share parking or anything as I am in the City.
