Funalliance Problem

by chittychat » Apr 18th, '10, 03:23

I seem to have a problem with funalliance.com re lost shipment. Since early March this year they do not reply to me inquiries.
Does anyone know if the company is still in business?

I moved your topic from Adagio Feedback to Tea > Other where it will be more at home.

Good luck to you and welcome to TeaChat.

Thanks!
Yes I did not know where to put it. Searching for funalliance in order find a possible answer to their silence I stumbled on teachat. What is strange, funalliance has not updated their website since middle of last year. I might have to check with the local Chinese embassy.

I just ordered from him this early February 2010. Took about a week to get a reply, but I got my stuff. Good gaiwans. Dunno if anybody else has had a problem after that.

That was as well the time when I placed and paid for my order which after about a week later I was told that it was shipped. After informing that I never received it and asking for some proof that it was shipped funalliance went silent. For the replacement I even offered to pay for the extra shipping. Very strange business behavior indeed.

I was finally able to get to the Chinese embassy only to be told that they are not in charge of Hong Kong. Instead they referred me to an address in Guangzhou which is somewhat too far away.

I will now see if I can contact somebody in Hong Kong to do some investigation for me . My search on the Internet does not give any phone number in the Yellow Pages of HK of this company Funalliance.

As of late has anybody ordered tea or tea ware from this company and goods received?

So, you did order from them, and they did accept payment from you? And you have not gotten shipment nor return emails.

I can relate to this actually and share your frustration, though not from the same company.

Correct and I find it strange since I have been dealing with this company for a few years to my full satisfaction. In fact I had even a more personal relationship by e-mail with the contact person Kam Leung.

That the website of funalliance has not been updated for a year now might tell something. My assumption is they went bust. :(

Kam Funalliance Rip Off, Scam, Fraud, Do Not Order from Them

by markmctamany » Nov 19th, '10, 06:42

I'm very sad to see that this once supposedly reputable company has seemingly closed its doors and is still taking people's money.

I placed an order 2 weeks ago, paid for the order (a $200 yixing teapot) and have not heard from them since. I've just resigned myself to accepting the fact that I will never see that teapot and that I've just been basically robbed of $200.

Countless emails have been sent, all of which have gone unanswered. People, please do not order from this place. They will take your money, then not answer any of your replies or order status. Kam, I believe in Karma, you will get yours.

I will signup to every major tea forum I can to make sure no one else gets ripped off.

Just dispute the charge with your bank (if you used credit/debit) or with PayPal.

funalliance does not seem to be a company at all.
beware of this kind of vending... not all problems come from this type but it carries all seeds of trouble and scam.

anyway, whois domain tools are useful to check on real statuses (in case of anonymization use the tools...)

for funalliance (maybe some contact can be found here, although not direct because obviously the person who owns the domain does not want anybody to have knowledge of his ID):
