Little Pig Tea pots & Other addictions
Re: Little Pig Tea pots & Other addictions
Wow, those are quite adorable teapots!
Just used our tiny and adorable guinomi hedgeapple cups the other day, what a pleasure to hold and use.
I am anxious to see the end results on these. Thanks for letting us see these peeks before completion.
Heh, I see that my better half and I were on the same track and he beat me to the post by seconds!

Victoria, methinks you would like one of porcelain with that blue--which will take a while. .so you've got time before you are compelled to buy

Geek, the body of the large one is 5" in diameter at this stage. With shrinkage It will be around 4 inches
Shrinkage, sounds like a Seinfeld episode ...![]()
They look cool LP! Are there any screens in these.
I am sure we will all be curious as to what glazes you will be doing.Mr. Green is offering a hint.
Hi Chip, Mr. Green
Got it and Yes, with porcelain we have shrinkage and warping
Any way you ask about screens. I think that's what I put in my teapots and post a picture of a porcelain teapot in process so you can see what it is inside the pot. Thanks for dropping in.

Outstanding ...
Thanks ... now if I can be picky ... smaller holes and lots of them would work even better for more teas such as Japanese greens.
Oh, and the handle on the side a la kyusu.
... and ... ok that's all.

Mrs Chip!
Thanks for the drop in and good to hear you love those guinomi. I quite like them myself and have a fav of my own. As to my most recent hedge apple tea pots and cups--things move slow (especially) with porcelain but I shall do my best to post the stages along the way.
Victoria,
Ah porcelain! It is quite the seductive clay and yes, there is more coming from me. I am presently testing a few new porcelains and I am excited to report that one looks quite promising for the slab methods that I use.
