My foray into black teas

by desmoface » May 16th, '07, 21:31

Hey gang, just got my package of goodies from Adagio...I got the white, black, and oolong samplers - as I'm a total newbie to gourmet tea.

Just had my first cup, started with yunnan gold...Didn't smell great in the tin..but, it sure am tasty. My wife even likes it and she's a coffee drinker..

Not sure what I'll try next, I have Assam Harmony, Keemun Encore, and Darjeeling #1 sitting here..All I know is, no more Lipton for me hehe.

Ok, had some Darjeeling #1, and I have to admit, it's the best I've tasted so far. I usually put milk in my tea, but I wanted to see what the tea tasted like, so I made it without milk...It was fantastic.

I haven't found an oolong that I like yet, maybe it's black tea for me. I have some Keemun Encore, Assam Harmony, and yunnan gold that i have try...But so far, the Darjeeling is the best.

Thanks again for the recommendation, Tomasini.

Having a spot of Keemun Encore right now, listening to the Smoking Popes...

Black with some sugar..I'm getting used to tea without milk...Mmmmm Tasty.

This tea looks good, so good I had to snap a picture of it hehe.

Not sure if I like it better than the Darjeeling, as it was really good.

My favorite Adagio Black teas

by vbguy772 » May 21st, '07, 10:46

My favorite Adagio black teas are: irish breakfast, darjeeling#22, and golden monkey. I use the flavored blacks for iced tea and love the blueberry, peach and grapefruit. Enjoy !
