Spent leaves in compost

Anyone know what spent leaves can bring in a compost heap ?

I don't know the science of it, but I throw spent leaves in my flower pots and garden beds all the time, and everything grows like crazy. :)

My worms certainly seem to turn them into castings with amazing speed. They are among the first things that vanish from the kitchen scraps that I feed to them.

Well they turn into compost, :o and give a nice soil once composted.
