Anyone know what spent leaves can bring in a compost heap ?

I don't know the science of it, but I throw spent leaves in my flower pots and garden beds all the time, and everything grows like crazy.

My worms certainly seem to turn them into castings with amazing speed. They are among the first things that vanish from the kitchen scraps that I feed to them.

Well they turn into compost, and give a nice soil once composted.
