How would you brew Naked Chai?

by plant partaker » Jul 1st, '10, 21:48

Just bought some naked Chai from the local herb shop and am wondering, how to brew it. I am trying to skip the simmer on the stove deal. I want to know if anyone has just brewed it in a pot without simmering the spices in a pan.

Unfortunately I don't know, but I would recommend you at least wear an apron!

You can do that, but you need to brew chai for a little longer IMO that other tisanes, many of the spices take a while to release their flavor.

On that note, if it is a very spicy chai I find it's worth it to simmer the spices in milk, it neutralizes some of the spice and makes a pleasant infusion that I tend to drink on colder days.
