How about a button that people can click to report spam or offensive material? Have it contact an admin and they can remove it.

Or maybe appoint a moderator or two. It really wouldn't be hard for someone to keep track of the Teachat rss feed (I do that already), monitor it for spam, and delete it as necessary.

...I second the moderator idea. All those in favor...

Or we could let scruff take a bite out of spam.

I agree. It doesn't bother me that much right now, but I've seen other forums just get completely overrun with spam links. I'd hate to see it happen here.

Let's give the power to someone. Can we vote for them? Democracy?

Yay for the teaocracy!

I was going to post something about how maybe we'd be classified something a bit closer to a timocracy, but then I realized I shouldn't be an insufferable know-it-all...especially since the "types of government" lecture was the only one I didn't sleep through in PolySci 101. :)

"There are some who call me... 'Tim'? "

Tim the Enchanter, of course.

BTW, Chip, was it your overweening lust for political power that prompted you to move from the Tea Cave to "atop Mt Fuji"? Getting closer to the Teaocracy ... "Nearer my God to Thee (or Tea)"

My gosh, You must work for the TIA. I just changed that a few hours ago.

Well, see, there is a TEAcave on MT Fuji that looks out upon neatly manicured fields of tea bushes of Shizuoka. So technically, both are correct.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail ftw!

Don't give it to chip, or he will have a stranglehold over half of the internet tea forum industry. :)
