eBay. The seller is reputable, though; he sells mostly antique coins and some Chinese antiques.

I just purchased a little portable studio for taking photos of tea ware. I'm still trying to figure it out and I need to iron the backdrop.

I wanted to take photos of my Zhong Kui tea pet to test it out. I ran into a few problems though because my daughter decided she wanted to help me. I think you can see my meaning in my photos.

Zhong Kui certainly doesn't look too happy about it. :D

I actually got it from his ebay listings for a bit less than what it was listed on the regular store. You can still see it there marked as "sold" Prices arent bad in the regular store either on a lot of them though and he doesnt seem to put a lot on ebay yet. He did send a discount code for 10% off on the regular store too.
Theres quite a few neat cups in that store..those artists seem to like to do a lot of carving in the pieces too..nice effect. the pics may not show it well but the bottom-sides are carved/sliced a bit and the foot is really neat..almost a tripod effect
Another thing i have to say is it was exquisitely packaged and wrapped for shipping. Best ive seen yet from any of my purchases including AN even.

It was annoying because Hello Kitty and her friends were trying to hold a conversation, and Zhong Kui just kept butting in. :D

Looks like Zhong Kui is all business. Must be lots of ghosts to purge! Remind him to stop and smell the tea leaves!

IPT - I have a light cube box and Geek has given me some pointers for making one as well, but ... What is that bottom piece? That is what really makes it, for me.

The bottom piece is a white piece of plastic I found in the garbage. It is from a plastic sheet that somebody used to build a wall in their bathroom. I'm sure you could find something like it at Home Depot or something like that. I'll have to ask Geekgirl about pointers.

In the trash? Ack! That's no help. l I need something like that.
Glossy black is good, but can show dust particles on closeups.
And mirrors - well look nice, but distract when selling I think.
It is like a lucite panel? It looks like glass. Look great.
