Iced IngenuiTEA Infuser

by benobi » Jun 29th, '07, 08:05

The infuser seems to have a little nub at the bottom but the tea pot doesn't have any hole for the nub to go into... As a result the infuser is loose in the tea pot.

Does anyone else have this problem or did I just get a weird infuser?

The iced ingenuiTEA has a fixed filter- this is the larger one with the black base. Did you happen to contact customer service about this issue? I will check for you-

The picture doesn't show it well, but the bottom of the infuser is smooth, doesn't look like there was any glue was there.

I am fairly sure the filter in that one is not removable, did you force it out yourself?

I didn't have to force it. The nub on the bottom of filter prevents it from sitting flat, and can come out easily.

Just checked mine, there is no way I can get the filter out without destroying it. Maybe you got a bad one, contact info@adagio.com or the live help on the main adagio page and talk to them about it

I think you got a bad one. I would email the company immediatly with the pictures. They will probably just ship you out a new one since it is obviously faulty or came to you broken.

I just got my iced tea infuser myself and WOW it's frakkin awesome :) I don't really like it brewed double strenght like the tea book reccomends but this is the best black iced tea I've ever had....I know mostly this is due to the great tea but the other half is this awesome infuser!!! wow did it make iced tea brewing super easy! You have to get yours fixed...I'm on my second pitcher of iced tea today!

You do add ice or more water to it correct? The point of making it double strong is that it is easier and less time consuming to make a large amount at once.

yeah i did add ice to water it down but it just tasted too strong still. i barely use any sugar and me and the mister both agreed it just was not our taste to use double strong tea for iced tea. then again we have been drinking iced tea from teabags for years now so we are just used to it beting lighter I guess!

the last batch I used 6tsp [instead of the usual 4 or 8 as they reccomend] of leaves though and that was pretty delicious :)

This is how I do my iced tea:

-Brew double strong (~2 tsp per cup)
-Allow to cool (otherwise it will get cloudy)
-Add an equal amount of cool water (bringing you back to ~1 tsp per cup)
-Toss in the fridge and drink
