Actually, I never understood all that "it's so healthy" bit. I mean, carrots are full of vitamin E, but I don't chuck a good few pieces of carrot in my tea just to get the benefit of both
Carrots... you know... daucus carota subspecies sativus. Add a little celery, a few onions... dang that's good tea. Or soup.

To be honest, I virtually never have herbal tea, but I do not doubt the potential health benefits of various herbs and spices (but not veggies). If people want to put them into their tea, I figure they could do a lot worse...such as artificial colors and flavors.Tony wrote:Actually, I never understood all that "it's so healthy" bit. I generally enjoy tea for the the whole tea preparation and drinking experience. The fact that I consider it to be a healthy alternative to the heavily processed beverages is a huge reenforcement for me.
The saffron sounds very interesting because it is so unusual, exotic...and such a costly spice. Plus the fact that I have it in my garden...I may try this.

carrots
did we took about carrots
maybe you choose the wrong post
1. Tea good
2. Carrots good.
3. Effect comparable but not spectacular. (I usually think that it's because carrots are less exotic.)
Anyway, that's my take on it.
edit: hmm, the forum stretches my thingamabob a bit or something. Original file at http://aycu21.webshots.com/image/23860/ ... 027_rs.jpg if it's just too illegible.
