Re: Weekend TeaDay 9/11-12/10 NEXT!
Today has been a slow teaDay, despite several shipments related to tea, and my only 'new' tea today is the Nannuo from the teasting. It is delicious, and reminds me of another Nannuo that I have recently enjoyed. Quite likely to join that one in my faves. As for the next one, if they are this good, more of the OTTI group may join the 'fave' list.

Excellent debunix! I am looking forward to reading more about the Nannuo in OTTI 5! Glad you really enjoyed it.
Great TD. Continued with sencha with the Mrs. and finishing the TD with Bangwai Pu-OTTI! This was extremely enjoyable!

Extremely likely.
When I ever I purchase teas, I read up on them. I LOVE trying out new teas but if it's a tea that has flavors I most likely won't like, I won't buy it, I'll just go to the store and try it or if I absolutely can't do that, then I just won't bother. I usually hate fruity teas if they're not cherry or a subtle citrus... The next new tea I'm getting is called California fields and is a mix of Chinese black and green teas with California sunflowers, cactus flowers, and rhubarb.

well i just tried my next new tea. its a roasted TGY from a friend. i have no idea where its from. some pictures:
tea and packaging dry tea close up spent leaves the leaf on the gaiwan was a particularly large one
the tea was great for me! good fragrance, decent stamina. i think i had about 10 infusions though it was faltering toward the end. deeply floral tea!
any help with identification would be great. i'd like to get my hands on more of these!
p.s.: my friend has no clue where its from. it was sitting somewhere in his house.

I put extremely likely. I'm on way too tight a budget to be experiementing with teas so these days I am buying only what I know I love. I try new things at a tea shop though that sells cups of tea for 2$ - great for tasting high end teas! Last I tried a 'long island strawberry green tea', pouchong oolong, and dragon pearl green tea. I went home with an oz of the dragon and strawberry - it went so fast! I have re-ordered them online in 4 oz.
Today I had a cup of pu-erh world market brand and on my 3 cup of iced white jasmine ^_^

I'm going to say not likely, but who knows?
Chip + others' Bangwai reviews tempted me to finish my sample. The flavors aren't upfront like other 2010 EoT Shengpu, but they are present. Decent huigan and mouthfeel, too.

Great TD, as usual. Began with a blend of several fukamushi which turned out quite exceptional. Next up, Warashina Supreme from the O-C and finishing with a tasting of the Pu-OTTI Nannuo from TIM/The MandarinsTeaRoom with Mrs. Chip. The Nannuo is quite remarkable, and gave a strong feeling of Qi/warmth.

Started with mixed shincha--tail end of a couple of non-asa samples--a little less sweet than my usual preference. But then on to the wonderful young sheng sweetness of the YiWu from the OTTI #5, and now am preparing some Hawaiian oolong in my Chao Zhou pot. Mmmm. Several kinds of sweetness through the day.

Brandon, thank you for the lovely photo as usual. Very appealing.
BTW, your food shots always make me hungry. Have you every thought of doing photos for food publications?
Thanks _economist for sharing you photos of your TGY leaves!

I have never thought about food, it is very specialized and in fact it is one of my 'worst' subjects based on the results! Tea is easier.Mrs. Chip wrote:Brandon, thank you for the lovely photo as usual. Very appealing.

I am doing a 'professional' photo gig in NY for a charity, but in general, I think I will stick to IT..
Thanks Mrs. Chip! See you around the TeaDay.

Hi everyone!
Just getting to this, as I was away for the weekend at a gestalt workshop.
Voted pretty sure. I've only gotten thru maybe half of my shinchas, and haven't cracked the ones I ordered as a result of the wondrous OTTI. I think one of those might be my next fav.
Cheers.
