PamEast: Tea samples available for swapping

by PamEast » Sep 16th, '10, 13:51

I've purchased a lot of samples in an effort to figure out what I like and what I don't. I have several that didn't make the cut. Rather than throw them out or have them go bad sitting here, I thought maybe I could trade them for other things?

My samples are from Adagio unless I specify otherwise. I've only taken one teaspoon out of each. I will trade individual samples or groups of samples. Please feel free to pick and and choose.

I have just a couple caveats on return samples. I am allergic to Lemongrass, so nothing with lemongrass in it. I also do not care for "fruit" teas or vanilla. I DO like black tea and I'm interested in trying out other teas that can be brewed "english style". I also like jasmine and other florals.

Here's what I have so far:

Spring Darjeeling
Assam Melody
Yunnan Noir
Virgo (this is a "mystery blend" that they sent me with an order)
Birthday Tea (another mystery blend)
Honeybush Orange
Honeybush Mango
Decaf Apricot
Rooibos Caramel
Honeybush Vanilla
Rooibos Vanilla
Desert Sage (Herbal from Republic of Tea. VERY good, but contains lemongrass much to my disappointment.)

I can't try the Virgo or Birthday blends because of my allergies. Unfortunately, since I don't know what is in them, I can't take the risk of trying them.

Pam is a newer member of TeaChat and does not meet the 60 day rule for TeaSwap. However she has requested an exception per the rules which was gladly granted.

Good luck swapping.

No worries, Twopynts. I didn't say anything, so there was no way for you to know!

Pam - if you look in the Blends section of the Adagio site you can find these two teas with what is included in them.

Virgo
white peony, lemon grass, chamomile (guess that one is out!)

Birthday Tea
vanilla, cream, caramel

Laura,

Thank you for the info on the blends! Yeah, the Lemongrass is a no-go for me. I'm also not crazy about vanilla in tea (although I DO like hazelnut), so the birthday tea doesn't look all that appealing to me either.

Hopefully someone else will like to trade for these!

Many of my samples are gone now. I still have the following left:

Rooibos Vanilla
Rooibos Caramel
Honeybush Vanilla
Honeybush orange
Decaf Apricot
Virgo Blend

These are all from Adagio and are in the little sample tins they used to send.
