I read somewhere recently that papaya leaves have amazing anti-cancer properties, so I'm willing to consider this possible.

I am a huge advocate for papaya consumption in both green and ripe form. It tastes better ripe, though. It's loaded with enzymes and I wouldn't be surprised at all if it helps clear up gout.
