All look interesting but this one really got my attention. Why fake an egg? It would seem easier and cheaper to produce them naturally.

Last I check, In order to get Eggs, we need Chicken. Chicken <> Cheap.
>>>The cost of fake egg is only 0.55 Yuan/kg, while the true eggs’ market price is 5.6 Yuan/kg.

Now, how far would fake potatoes go in Ireland ?
Same with this rice. This is ridiculous as 'news'. Rice is staple food in Asia. This fake one does not even cook. Who will eat that ? Who will not return to the person who sold it ? Especially in large quantities.
This could hold if the people who invested money and time into this, to actually sell that rice, has fled away as soon as it was sold. Don't they have access to penny stock markets in China ? That's a better way to spend money.
Another way is that the article would not bother to mention that this fake rice is made for fake food displays in Japan, which are very popular in Japanese food joints.
I wonder how much anti-China is there behind such 'news'.
