Alone today, drinking a Korean green and then I think I'll have Huo shan huang ya.

Drinking alone presently, but prefer to drink with tea buds in tow.

Today is our anniversary, so Mrs. C is sharing tea throughout the day.
Began the TD with a newly opened bag of Yutaka Midori Supreme from the O-C. Cup is Hagi SO #6 Sansai, Kyusu is from a good TC friend.
And then the lights went out, literally ... lost power. So went for sushi/sashimi and had genmaicha.

Happy Anniversary Chip & Mrs. Chip!! Hope you have a wonderful TeaDay!Chip wrote:Today is our anniversary, so Mrs. C is sharing tea throughout the day.
I'm usually alone when I drink tea, at least alone in the sense that I'm the only one actually drinking it (roommate & friends don't share in my tea-obsession).
1980s WangZi Shengpu from EoT today. Nice mellow cuppa with very calming qi. Much appreciated with a big exam tomorrow.
Speaking of, I'm off to the library...

Thanks Nick.
So, after the sushi, came home to lights back on, and thus could heat water for Kame Jirushi Gyokuro also from the O-C.

Happy Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Chip.
Today has been full of a lot of work, not enough tea, though I almost say Tea is magical at how it can improve mood and rejuvenate the mind , I spent an hour and a half completely stuck, Took an hour an a half tea break ( Kim Shin Ho Balhyocha), and in the next 45 minutes I finished 2/3rds of what remained in the problem set.

I have my wife half converted to Japanese green tea in the morning. At night I sip my black tea on my own. At work, they are all coffee drinking infidels. A so so gyokuro from Ippodo this morning and a nice Yunnan black tea this evening.

Happy anniversary, Chip and Mrs. Chip!!!
If my best friend were here, I'd be drinking tea with her... Sadly, she's overseas at the moment. Next year, though, she'll be back and we'll return to our tea sessions.
Chrysanthmum pu-erh this afternoon. Currently drinking houjicha.

Great tea day, with spring like weather in NYC. Started with a white nannuo puerh, 2 grades of xiping TiKwanYin, a high fired Oolong, then shared a Menghai 1980's white needle golden lotus shu loose with the owner of Ten Ren Tea. More to come tomorrow
Re: Wednesday TeaDay 10/27/10 Tea for one ... or two ... more?
My parents called Monday:
'Rents: "Hey, we're thinking of driving up to visit you today."
Me: "You live almost 2000 miles away."
'Rents: "Yes."
Me: "See you in 22 hours, then!"
So I get to share my teaday today with my mother, who is absolutely the awesomest person I know, so it's pretty stellar. We've had a lot of 2010 2nd flush Darjeeling.
It's been a good teaday.
