Excellent! I've been too busy to try the other tasting sessions, but I've been able to carve out a bit more time lately, and just in time, it seems!

Sounds very exciting, can't wait to compare!

OK, I have been dropping a few hints around the forum! Time to announce OTTI Round #6.

A package arrived from China this week from a member.

This will be an OTTI dedicated to Tie Guan Yin commonly simply called TGY (or however you want to spell it ). 5 selections from a member who is also an online vendor and TeaRoom owner living in China, IPT. His shop is Chinese Tea Culture, http://www.chinese-tea-culture.com/

I will be posting the official OTTI #6 topic on Monday 9/27/10 at 6 pm Eastern USA time. At that time, members can commit to this OTTI round. "Seating" will be very limited!!!

The topic will include more information and discussion on the selections.

Official Notification!!!

Time to announce OTTI Round #7 ... and #8. This will be the ultimate faceoff between asamushi and fukamushi with some chu too.

I will be posting the official OTTI #7 and #8 topic on Monday 11/01/2010 at 6 pm Eastern USA time. At that time, members can commit to one or both of these OTTI rounds. "Seating" will be very limited!!!

The topic will include more information on both rounds and discussion on the selections.

+1! There are lots of 'Greenies' around here.

The OTTIs are a great way to get a chance to taste teas that you might not otherwise. Selections coming up will give you a nice tasting of especially Asamushi and Fukamushi. I know you will not be disappointed.

I understand (I think) that asamushi is lightly steamed sencha and fukamushi is heavily steamed, but what is chu?
