Your favorite white tea?

For me its a tie between bai hao yin zhen (silver needle) and bai mu dan.

Though not from the traditional province of Fujian, you can get a bai mu dan from Yunnan that is quite remarkable. I tend to stick with it because it is Fair Trade Certified.

I have tried an Indian white tea, a bai mu dan from the Maikabari estate, but as much as I love the darjeelings from Maikabari, it just wasn't as good.

Adagio's Bai Mu Dan looks great. Has anyone gotten it here, and are the leaves really that green and lush looking as in the photo?

My personal favorite is White Puerh Tea. I find the taste and aroma more pronounced when compared to other white teas while it still possesses that appealing floral, nectar like quality. Favorite White

My favorite white tea is Shou Mei, also called Sow Mee or longevity eyebrow tea. It's a lower grade white tea but it has a very nice flavor, smooth and less "fresh green" tasting than some other white teas. I usually flush the leaves for about a minute to reduce the caffeine content and drink the "second" pot. It's inexpensive too. Too bad Adagio doesn't carry it.

is there a white pear? the only pear tea i've had was rooibos.

I just ordered some white darjeeling from here and it was SPECTACULARLY AWESOME! I am not a white tea fan over all, or didn't think i was, but I like darjeeling. This was everything I love about darjeeling tastewise plus...I dunno something awesome! it was good to go straight from the pot and absolutly delicious.

the second infusion was completly unflavorful though

too bad because it is kinda pricey.

I have really only tried two varieties, Silver Needle (China) and Silver Tip (Ceylon), and I think the latter is slightly sweeter, which suits me fine. It also seems it can take more steepings before the flavor becomes to subtle to sense.

Right now my favorite flavored white is still a Teavana tea called: Queen of Babylon. It has pomegranate, carrots, and pineapple pieces in the white... but I like the new Adagio grapefruit white too. Unflavored-wise though, I drink a mix of Silver Needle in _every_ mixture I make... green, white, or otherwise, Silver Needle is there and I haven't had a cold since I started months and months ago.

"Pear Luna" is a white Pear tea Teavana makes. I'm a Team Lead there and drink it a lot actually. Try it. It's heaven.

White peony is called Bai mutan and around 20 variations in spelling. It is a white tea. Very full flavored for a white actually.
