I've had some pretty good teas this month, but the best was 2010 Suzhou BiloChun from Tea Gallery.

2009 Xi Ping TGY for breakfast, and Hachiju Hachiya shincha for lunch.

I will have to try the Jing!
The Silk Road Teas TPHK seemed almost impossibly green. Seven Cups has it on sale this month, so I'm planning on ordering from them and doing a comparison with the Jing TPHK.

I voted for oolong since thats what I've mostly been drinking this month.

G from J again for me.

More specifically - matcha Tenkei Hana. Great stuff, and organic too!

Have been reduced to lurking here for awhile, for various reasons. I over-bought earlier this year, so October has been devoted to cleaning up the rest of this spring's shinchas and a couple of Taiwan oolongs, clearing the deck for some new stuff. Hard to say which comes out on top, but there was more shincha to start with, so I guess the vote is for Japanese green... I've got a new batch of Chinese greens on the way from TeaSpring, for the office, and some sencha and oolong won't be far behind. So much good stuff out there, one hardly knows where to start.

In the cup as I write: the very last of a Kanaya Midori that took third place in my personal shincha sweepstakes. After that there's a bit of Baozhong still waiting to be used.

My two teas of the month are pu-erh and houjicha. (No gyokuro this month, as it's only a special occasion tea for me.) I love houjicha sooooo much.

Rose congou this afternoon, houjicha right now.

I have to add here too.
The last day in October was a really really great tea-Sunday for me.
I had a lot of teas of the month.
A good Matcha, a really nice Shu Pu Erh, an outstanding Wuyi and the winner of all was an astonishing Long Jing from jkteashop.
2010 Spring Handmade Imperial Shi Feng Long Jing
It is expensive I think, but I'd recommend to give it a try. Smells heavenly and tastes really good.
So October ended with a big tea BANG. - More days to come like this.

ciao
Marco
